Continued Prayer and Praise

We’re delighted to share that as of this month, $187,350.54 has been given to the Rebuild Memorial Fund. This amount covers our $100,000 building insurance deductible and gets us closer to our goal of $300,000 to cover the repairs of the church landscape, signage, and the Playgarden fencing, as well as our share in the neighborhood cost for pavement, lighting, and landscape repair.

We praise God for his provision and thank him for how he has cared for us and allowed us to care for our neighbors.

Please join us in praying for the short- and long-term needs of our church and community this month.

In the short term, pray that our insurance company would make quick and positive decisions that provide the best possible future for our church building. Please also pray for protection from further water damage and other building issues while we wait for the repairs to begin.

In the long term, thank God with us that our damage wasn’t worse. Thank him for the blessing of the large donations we’ve already received. As we thank him, remember and pray for others in our city who were far more gravely affected, or left unable to return to their homes because of the level of destruction and lack of funds. Pray also for Greg Johnson and others who are displaced for months while their damaged homes are being repaired.

As we pray for the souls of our neighbors in St. Louis, we pray also that the physical needs of our members and our neighbors will be met and communities be restored.
